MUSIC DISTRIBUTION ASIA
|
|
How can I trust Hong Kong? It is a former British Colony with the same legal system today, which is in English, including the Government Courts. This is why it remains the base for most International offices in Asia despite growth on the mainland.
Where will my CD be sold? CD Stores & Book stores. See some of the stores on the Red Mountain Black site.
What contracts do I need to sign? None, there are no tricky contracts. If you meet the criteria, and send us the set-up fee and your CD's we will sell them. When you cancel, we will take down your artist page and return your remaining CD's at the CD Buyer Delivery price.
How do I know you will not steal my music? Hong Kong is the legal capital of Asia, legal action against us is easier than anywhere. We are offering this as an opportunity to artists. Our parent label has all the talent it needs, but we would not jeopardize our success by stealing someone's art. We have over 30 Artists so far, and their Art is safe! We did sign one of our distribution Members to our parent label with a deal.
What fancy
features can I have on my Artist page?
Your
Artist/Band picture, Bio, contact, plus your
CD's with song listings and samples. You can customize the colors. You will have
Chinese, and an English page! You will
also feature in additional pages Artist by
Genre, Artist by Alphabet, CD by Genre, and
CD by Alphabet.
Can you get my song to radio?
We can try, but we cannot guarantee that,
often Radio costs money.
Read up on "Payola".
Do not believe
anyone making claims about guaranteed radio
play unless you pay them big bucks!!!
US$10,000 for College Radio. There is
always a chance, and we will try, with one
CD if you wish, and target the best
opportunity.
Can you help me find a deal with a Major
Label?
No, only if they discover you through our
web-site or promotions, in which case you
owe us nothing, just cancel at 14 days
notice.
How do I cancel without any reason?
Send us an email from the original account
you registered with us and we will call you to double confirm.
We have no problem with you canceling, and
hope that it is because your career progressed.
Why do you need 14 days notice to cancel?
So that it does not affect any orders from
CD Buyers that may be going through the system.
It also allows us time to deliver you CD's
back to you in that time.
Remember we need 4-8 days for delivery.
Where do you store the CD's?
We store them in our studio, which is in a
24-hour guarded building with video
surveillance.
They are in the same
place we store all of our master recordings,
under many locks and keys.
How much will
it cost to send my CD's?
That depends on which country you live in, but we will pay the
import duty and customs into Hong Kong for the first batch. That is as good as it gets!
How can you deliver so cheap?
We don't profit from delivery, the fee
covers customs, tax, duties. In some
cases if it costs us more it comes out of
our profit. We feel that we need to
keep delivery competitive to maximize YOUR
chance of selling you CD from our site.
Also,
It is easier for us to have one price.
Will you feature any other languages later?
Yes, as demand grows and we penetrate new
markets.
Why have I never heard of you?
Because we only started in 2005, actually we
established the company around September
2005. We we operating earlier by conducting research,
doing our legal checks,
building a studio, making music, setting up
our web-site, and other preparations for
becoming an official music publisher.
But our distribution offering does not
include publishing, contact our parent
company for that.
Is this a Record Deal?
No, just physical distribution, promotion
and Asia representation. Is giving some CD's to your local
record store to sell a record deal?
Why is everything in United Stated Dollars?
The Hong Kong currency is pegged to the US
Dollar, plus it is a currency everyone can
easily convert.
CD Buyers will buy in their own currency,
but bands will deal with us in US Dollars.
Why are you being so generous?
We do not like the way the music industry is
run at the moment, it discriminates against
those with artistic vision and talent. We love music, and we can help true Artists
get their music heard and maybe sold.
At least you have someone who can push the
product in Asia to retail clients in their
own language and allow them to pay in their
own currency.
Isn't Hong Kong in Japan?
No, it is a part of China. In 1997 it
was handed back by the British after a 99
year lease that was agreed upon to end the
Opium Wars.
The Opium War was started
as a dispute between China and England
regarding the trade of Opium for Tea.
The resolution of the lease established Hong
Kong as an Asian powerhouse which has
largely been left untouched by the Central
Government
of the People Republic of China
due to its economic and social status.
If you are from the USA, think about the
connection between the British
and the
actions of the Boston Tea Party. Tea
was gold!
Hong Kong has been rated as the Number 1
place to do business as a foreign country
for the past 3 years
and enjoys strong
support of the international finance
community.
