Red Mountain Records Limited of Hong Kong, China in 2005. The, the founder of the label was frustrated that Hong Kong's production standards did not meet world-class standards.
After establishing the Production company, it soon became apparent that there was no independent distribution network for overseas Artists to enter the Asian market.
Today it goes by the name of Red Mountain Records Group after expanding with two additional divisions.
The aim was to establish Hong Kong's first world class production service coupled with an Asia Distribution program to service the needs of overseas artists.
In Asia, most Imported foreign music comes from Major Labels. There was no local company to help Independent Artists get personalised promotion and distribution services.

We thought that the market was too limited and did not represent the best music but the most funded and heavily promoted music. In early 2006, Red Mountain Records established its distribution division to help independent Artists from overseas establish a fan-base and CD sales in Asia (www.redmountainblack.com ).
Red Mountain Black is a Member based service based on physical CD distribution in stores. We do not focus on on-line web sales, but maintain the capability for our members who desire it. We are looking at ways to expand Red Mountain Black beyond Asia to create a global distribution service for Independent Artists who deserve personal service. In 2008, Red Mountain Records Group announces its intention to open a California studio and office as a base for the American region and has partnered with a studio not far from L.A.
